Hailing from California, Marshall Westall (mrshl) is the founder of the San Francisco event group and label Bay Sine. Now based in London, UK, mrshl wields a keen understanding of UK styles while adding a decidedly Californian spin to his productions and mixes. mrshl has built up an anthology of eclectic originals, with releases on labels such as Infernal Sounds, Wheel & Deal, Subaltern, and Encrypted Audio among others. His unique sound has garnered support from some of Dubstep’s most respected tastemakers including: Hamdi, Caspa, N-Type, J:Kenzo, Neffa T, Sicaria, Mia Koden, Ternion Sound, Distinct Motive and more.
mrshl’s long sought-after dub plate English Weather is now available via label Infernal Sounds for purchase in digital format and limited vinyl quantities along with a commemorative themed release hoodie from the Infernal Sounds Bandcamp.
Due to the response to the release, Infernal Sounds and mrshl have decided to break with the traditional format of Infernal Sounds LTD series and offer English Weather digitally rather than vinyl exclusive. Infernal Sounds IFSLTD005 - ENGLISH WEATHERThis EP brings together a collection of bass-driven, Dubstep and Dubstep-adjacent tracks written from 2019 - 2024. To accompany the release, Infernal Sounds published a promotional DJ mix recorded by mrshl that features the EP alongside exclusive unreleased music and premieres from mrshl and some of Dubstep’s hottest current artists.
